Oil usage on the 2.2 diesel

Hello and Merry Christmas,


Just checked my oil today on my accord and it was serviced approximately 2.5k miles ago. It is sitting halfway between min and max?

Is this any concern I tend to drive economically hardly ever give it the boot.

Heading to Wales in another week so may top it up with something that meets the spec however I didnt think itd lose that much oil.

There is no smoke, nothing blue or white, however a slight burning smell comes through my heating whilst driving sometimes

Did you check it after your oil change? It's actually supposed to be halfway between min and max

I wouldn't worry to much that's only half a litre. There was a post on here about oil consumption. Mine doesn't move between service's but others do. Just keep an eye on it.

Yep will do, ill just trust the old Honda reliability, got a top up in boot anyway so can always just top it up.
