The two backboxes are looking scruffy with black patches, it's time to give them a coat of summat, has anyone done this or can recommend a paint? would Hammerite stand the heat?

I've got hammerite paint on my paint calipers and they have been fine 2 years on. Just make sure that the surface is keyed properly and cleaned before applying

Hammerite have a new high temperature paint out for BBQ's, I used it on my Accord Type R rear boxes and it looked better than new.
As said above, regular stuff is superb and I've seen it used on blocks, never mind back boxes.
