just a thought as im tempted to fit a set of parking sensors.

every accord ive seen has them fitted slap bang in the middle of the bumper which makes them stand out too much for my liking even when colour coded. i have the ctdi and where the rear reflectors are at the bottom there is a flat section above the black trim.

could they be fitted there? or do i have to have them in the middle?

It all does depend on the sensor but i'm pretty sure the average sensor kit requires a certain height from the ground as it will not function correctly.

All fitment instruction are in the parking sensor box.And everything are write about mesurements from ground.Like Shabz said, you can't put where you want, because latter they not correct working.

the problem is bud,if the sensors are too close to the ground either they will be constantly going off thinking that there is an obstruction there, have you thjought about installing a rear view camera, you can pick up the camera for next to nothing and also a screen(which if you like can be dash mounted or fitted into your sun visor)so you can clearly see whats going on(its the best mod i ever done :))

there is also on the market reverse mirror screen :D

to low and curbs will set them off.

Mine aren't really noticeable to be honest.

i have thought of doing the camera thing but was unsure if it would work through my sat nav screen or not on my 2004 ctdi. i wouldnt want a dash mounted screen tbh as i hate anything sticking up from the dash.

this was the parking sensor kit i was thinking of. on the pics its fitted low on the jag and the last pic of the van which is why i asked the question.

do you have any pics of your camera and screen at all?

well done mate that looks like a top job you did there.

is it possible to fit the reverse camera into the sat nav screen on the EX model?

if so this may be the way to go, if not then it looks like sensors are the way as i dont fancy visor screens or anything that looks tacky and stuck on the dash....

ive also been looking at the headrest dvd players on ebay and have watched a vid on installation and they look very easy to do except for hiding the loop wires from headrest to headrest. my only concern is that they look pretty big compared to the roiginal head rests and if the colour isnt close they will look odd... it would be ideal for the kids though and at £170 for the pair isnt a bad deal really.

I'm sure it is possible to hook upto the existing satnav system bud (I'm sure alnug did this and he has a DIY on it) ill try to find the d.I.y on it bud. The headrest screens do look pretty cool just make sure you get a colour match or nearest as possible to the leather.

thats the main issue, getting the colour matched. they seem to all come in black, grey or beige. i have the cream leather in my car so the closest would be the beige.

there are companies out there that will sell you headrest dvd's and colour match them but it starts getting quite expensive once you want them customising. there are also companies that will fit the screens into OE headrests on an exchange basis but this is even more damaging on the wallet.....
