Pas reservoir

I've got a squeak from my power steering and want to check the fluid level but where is the reservoir? On other cars it looks to be by the screen wash filler but I just have an empty space there on my 53 petrol accord.

Maybe yours has EPS (electric power steering) as opposed to the full hydraulic system.

Would it just be a new belt needed to stop the squeak with eps? Or looking at bigger problems?

The 2.4 petrol and 2.2 diesel are both hydraulic PS, but I think the 2.0 is EPS.

If your car is 2.0 petrol, AFAIK you should have an "EPS" indicator at the bottom right of the dash display

If it is EPS then the aux belt has nothing to do with the PS

If it is not EPS, then you should see the pulley (for the hydraulic pump) along the aux belt, and a pipe from the pump to the reservoir

It's does have the eps light on start up. What could be causing he squeel when turning even just slightly to the right? Always used to be just a low fluid level or stretched belt

Prob never had been done, at 12 yrs old I'm guessing it's way past its best
