Hi all,

Newbie here, I've just bought a 2005 Tourer, very happy with the car but there are a couple of niggles (as always with used cars), one of which is the electric seat trim on the passenger side which has separated. I can't get it to clip back together again, the lugs seem to be there but it won't stay in place. Anyone else had this problem? Looking for
some advice on how I might be able to fix it, the seat controls still work perfectly, just doesn't look great!

Thanks in advance,

Leo.

crikey I've not seen that before, I don;t actually know, someone else might

welcome to TA btw ;)

I might have some useful info. Is it an electric 4-way or an electric 8-way ?

electric 8-way = slide forward/backward, recline up/down, seat base front up/down, seat base rear up/down

Hi Brian, thanks for the welcome, it's 4-Way, no height adjustment on the passenger seat (well, at least not on my one!).

yeah you're correct, passenger side is 4-way ...just testing LOL

not sure if this will help (click to enlarge)

Ah, looks like I'm missing a clip and a screw, time to have a look around the footwells...
Do you think there's any chance I could still get the parts from Honda? I'd like to fix it properly, not bodge it!

Thanks again,

Leo,

Thanks Brian, mine's the 2.0. I didn't find any stray clips or screws in the footwell and looking at Ling Honda's diagram, part 20 (front trim section) doesn't look
exactly like what I have in my car which leads me to think that some of the trim or fixings must have snapped off. In theory, all I should need are parts 26 and 33
but I can't see how they would attach to what's left. Looks like I'll need to replace the front & side trim pieces, I might get creative with the cable ties as a temporary
measure to keep things in place :D
