Petrol Light "ON" how far can i get

the petrol light came on and i'm no where near a petrol station !!!

II drove for about 1 mile while it was on.

How far can i get before it stops ?

It's an 06 saloon 2.0L

You'll be fine, just take it steady... you'll have 9.7 litres @ circa 35mpg...

ive done 40 miles on the motorway before with the light on, thats pushing it coz you could suck up gunk from the bottom of the tank. The reserve is also 10l in the petrols too
