After having a remap done by Fahad I thought I would share the information I have gathered after 2k of miles. I'm a taxi driver with a accord tourer diesel which has 134k on clock now,so the most important thing for me is fuel economy, when I bought the Honda 2yrs ago it had 46k on the clock and it costs me 16p a mile before this i was driving a v70 Volvo diesel which was costing me 19p a mile (this is how I record my fuel)i keep my cars for 4yrs on average with about 200k been put on the clock this is with 3drivers on the car. So as you can see I was saving 3p a mile before remap which over 4yrs is £8000 saving on fuel.
My Tourer has slight hesitation between 1st and 2nd gear so after a bit of research decided on the remap. So lets get started Fahad did stage1 remap and fitted pipecross performance filter I took car out and what a difference, the power was unbelievable between 3rd and 4th but still had hesitation on lower gears. Fahad suggested to swap air filter back to the original Honda filter and experiment with both to see which gave the best performance for me so after 1k of miles with pipecross filter speed unbelievable but fuel went up by 1p a mile
So next 1k of miles with Honda air filter the lower gear hesitation went straight away could still feel power under foot and acceleration between 3rd and 4th is awesome as well, maybe not as good as with the performance filter but the fuel economy is awesome down to 13p a mile, which again is going to save me 3k over next 2yrs from when running at 16p a mile before remap.
This is just what I have found which suits me.
Also the car feels much better its like its come to life So if your thinking of a remap stop thinking and just do it Fahads the man plus he pointed out my manifold was leaking now HUK are supplying free of charge.
If you just what unbelievable power and lifetime filter then pipecross is the one for you
If you want added power and better fuel economy stick with your Honda air filter.
If you want to monitor how much it costs per mile this is the procedure
you have to have full tank of fuel, zero miles on the mile counter run car until you want to fill up this can be anytime fill back to rim then do following calculations cost of fuel ie £47.61 then divide by the miles you have done say 351 = 13.5p a mile
