Hello all

Looking for some advice

Recently I noticed a problem with my clutch, at times it feels spongy and soft and the biting point is right low. When this happens sometimes i can find my self stuck in gear (can't change gear when the pedal is pressed) and I have to turn the car off to get it out of gear.

This seems to mainly happen in 1st or reverse. This is most common when i start the car from cold and I find my self pumping the clutch to prevent my self locking in or out of gear.

I did take it down to my mechanic he bleed it but the problem returned. So i'm thinking what the exact issue could be i'm trying to avoid replacing the master cylinder (if it is this)

Also checked the levels and they seem ok..

Thanks

I'm not sure about this, but I think there was a similar thread some time ago, IIRC a flush did the trick

Sounds like you may still have air in the system. Ditch the mechanic! Cheapest solution is to try bleeding it again yourself. This site should have a few posts on how to do it. Visually inspect your fluid to verify its not dark.
