Radio & sat nav problems

Hi I have tried searching but got no where I'm hoping someone can help me.

I have a 54 plate accord executive CD player, sat nav etc

The problem I have is the sat nav doesn't work when I bought the car got given discs now when I out these discs in the sat nav works once then stops and I can't input a postcode either once it is up and running

The screen is asking for an update but when I put the disc in nothing happens.

Now surely I shouldn't have to update the sat nav if I don't want to and it should work like normal.

Do you think it is the unit it self at fault.

Any body got any ideas what the problem is.

What version of the disc you have? ie: V3.5

I can't remember I will have a look I'm sure I have 3.5 version

You disc might be damaged, I experienced a similar situation, it said the disc reading in error....... So I bought this from this website 3 weeks ago:

It works perfectly
