This is my first post as i very recently purchased an Accord DTEC EX GT, after buying the vehicle i noticed a rattle sound coming from the front of the hood at high speed over 70mph.

i cant see any loose screws or parts and everything seems to be in place and secure.

has anyone else noticed this problem and how can it be resolved?

everyone's help is appreciated.

thanks.

Had the same problem.
Unscrew your bonnet rubbers one each side a little to tighten up the bonnet when closed.
There near your head lights and stick up.
If that don't do the trick then it's the rubber seal at the back of the bonnet needs replacing for a modified part.
There was a TSB a few years ago from Honda

Thanks Brett I will have a look and report back to see if this resolved the problem

Theres also a slight clicking sound coming from the boot which normally happens whilst im driving but again nothing there that seems out of place and the boot lid isnt loose, any ideas on what I can check or something I missed?

Hi bud is your car a saloon or Tourer ?

It might be something simple as the sat nav disk drive.
When I turn my car on I can hear relays clicking on and off.
Or it could be a worn bush on one of your control arms as this sound will come through the car.
Try from stationary going forward and reverse in short moves.
This will rule out any worn bushes as you will hear them.

Folding back seat not locked into place properly?

Good shout, whats the best way to unscrew the bonnet rubbers? I'll give it a test as soon as to see if it is a worn bush, is that expensive to replace?

Ill also check the folding seat lock to make sure it is in place properly.

The bonnet rubbers just unscrew anti clockwise to make them higher to give a more tight fit against the bonnet.

Thanks guys it looks like the clicking sounds from the back was coming from the split folding seats which wasnt pushed back properly and the rattling sound from the bonnet disappeared after tightening up by turning the rubber stoppers anti clockwise

Thanks again guys

Thanks for the feedback and glad your sorted
