Rattly Exhaust

Another 'started recently' noise! At various times, seems to be mostly at idle or at slow speed I notice rattling from the exhaust. I was thinking heat shield of some sort. Having got under the car and tapped everything on the exhaust, nothing is loose. But, if I bang on the catalyst I get the rattle. The heat shield around it is absolutely fine. So I guess something has come loose inside the catalyst..? Anyone else had this..?

I'm guessing replacement is the way to go. There seem to be many suppliers on eBay and there's my local scrappy (although that one won't last so long I guess). Anyone bought from eBay..?

Sounds like the exhaust rattling on the heat sheild to me dude. Try taking the sheild off and seeing if the noise remains. If so try Ebay for someone breaking a car and get the cat.
