Hi guys just a few problems with 7th gen honda accord on a 53/2003 car is a 2.0 petrol saloon
We put new rear calipers on today and new pad, disc was fine handbrake was moving free,so didn't replace this.
Problem is brakes feel spongy after four bleeds, and hand break wont work unless i over tighten it,but them brakes rub

Please can anybody help,

Hi Lee your brakes will take up to 500 miles to bed in.If genuine honda brakes this will be about 300 miles.

Yes I thought about being spongy any maybe bed in ,but any ideas why handbrake wont work, will only grip if I tighten to much were pads a gripping disc.

Yes ive done this but no joy one caliper seems to grip better than the other, when I get passenger side to grip, drivers is way to tight

Did you pump the brake pedal a few times to ensure the piston(s) are in the correct position?

Also in front of the adjustment nut (or behind as in the pic), there is a balance bar (I think its called) its where the two cables connect. Is that running perpendicular to the cables or at an angle? In other words it should run straight across at 90° to the cables as in the pic on the DIY.
