Remap, i-dect 2.2 with auto-box - can it be done safely

Just chopped in my faithful old i-cdti sport (153K) for an auto 8th gen.

My 7th gen was mapped by Fahad and it was lovely in that state and would be very interested in doing it again, but Im aware that the auto box may be a limiting factor?

Noticeable last time was a decent reduction in fuel consumption and would love to think I could get the same benefit this time as well as a more drivable car.

Just worried about the torque capability of the auto gear box.

I will get into dialogue with Fahad to get it sorted, but would be good to hear any actual ownership experiences....

Hi Paul,

Done plenty of them mate, in fact I often remark that the auto idtec has got to be one of the trades best kept secrets.

We don't do anything crazy with them and our tuning is designed to ensure it remains well within the torque limitations of the automatic transmission.
