I ve installed a hid kit and replaced the side lights with ones suggested by a member on here however my fog lights are now looking extremely yellow ;
so the question i'm asking is has anyone changed them for white bulbs and is it just a straight swap ? , I think the bulbs are H11 but the manual just says 55w /12v.
Any suggestions anyone?

these are correct H11 bulbs and their power is 55W, but when you swap fog lights with some led lights you'll get nice white colour but light output will be poor it'll be something like DRL lights.

As brodziu has correctly pointed out they will not be as powerfull with white smd leds, they will look like drl s, although I have come aforesaid people putting hids in stead of bulbs for fogs...

No they wont look like DRL'S i have HID's in my fogs and there brighter than my dipped....

go for HIDs in your fogs... 35w is adequate

Who started with LEDs? The OP was about HIDs?

it's about white fogs, neither hid's or led's, just suggestions ;)
The thing is white fogs are always more yellow then the hids and leds even when it says hid effect , the leds will not be strong enough so will look good but with no actual effect in fog which sort of beats the point of having them on, i ve ebayed h11's and they dont come up expensive I think Ill buy a few different ones and see which works best!

so maybe instead of struggling to get nice white colour you'll go jdm way and make them more yellow :)
sorry for OT :blush:
