Any one know how to reset the alarm, as battery went dead, and alarm goes when open door, remote not working, have replaced battery, but need to reset it.

Which battery went dead, the 12V car battery, the battery in the key-fob, or the battery in the siren in the car ?

the battery in the car, when reconnected it the and locked car by the key, remote would not work so used key, when I unlocked by they key the alarm when off, used key again could not turn it off so had to disconnect battery.

Some person said you have to reprogram alarm something about turning key in 3 or four times with lock button pressed till the door locks, but he was not sure.

a couple of points on this

1. Annoyingly, on these cars, if you lock the car with the key (when the car battery is connected), then the alarm will go off if you unlock with the key. You can only unlock these cars using the fob. So, on that basis, you might also have a dead battery in the fob. There are several threads about replacing the fob battery.

2. These pre-facelift 7th gen Accords are now over 10 years old, and the rechargeable battery in the siren is also getting old. On that basis there is also another issue, see this recent thread .... http://typeaccord.co.uk/forum/topic/21098-alarm-keeps-going-off-but-no-indicators-flashing-no-immobiliser/

If you have auto data it gives you the code to reprogram the alarm but I am not a member.

In my experience it's better to look at basics first , have you checked the battery in the fob ?

One BIG point to bear in mind is that the alarm/siren is separate from the immolbiliser. The latter uses the RFID in the key, f you can start the car with the alarm/siren blaring away, then the issue that you are having with the alarm/siren is a separate issue, and most likely it is the battery in the alarm/siren that is on its way out.

To check this, when you connect the main car battery and the alarm/siren starts blaring, get into the car and start the engine. If the engine starts, best thing to do is get out of the car and wait. You have to wait for the alarm/siren to stop blaring (it will stop), and then wait a further 30 minutes. Then see if you can lock and unlock the car several times using the buttons on the keyfob. If you can do this, then finally unlock the car with the button on the keyfob and get in, and you should find that the alarm/siren is behaving itself.

But if the alarm/siren goes off again when you get into the car after having waitied for 30 minutes, then IMO the battery in the alarm is dying and needs replacing.
