Hi Everyone,

I hope you all have a great 2012 and your accord behaves well this year :)

Suddenly my reverse parking sensors are not working as they should. Typically the beeping noise should kick in when the rear is coming near another vehicle or obstacle. Now as soon as I go into the reverse gear, the sensor beep is more like a constant sound (which should happen when you go break the threshold).

Maybe the sensors need a good clean? :p

Bizarrely since the problem has happened, it disappeared temporarily for a day then came back.

I have a similar problem to yours, when I stick it into reverse it starts to beep like something is close but theres is nothing in sight! I have been told that this can be caused by a faulty connection or sensor and you could possibly fix this by going through to see which is the problem and fix it.

Just noted yesterday a slight scrape (car swipe) on the left hand side of the rear bumper, which may have damaged the sensors.

The circle bits are completely intact though.

I had same, sometimes it was continuous beep or it just didn't detect obstacles but I didn't bother to change one sensor so I replaced whole kit, to find out which sensor is faulty you need to unplug one by one from control unit so you will see which one caused problem, btw. I replaced mine with this : http://www.dolphin-direct.co.uk/dolphin_parking_system_audio.asp
these been voted in first three in autoexpress rewiev ;)

Thanks broziu, is it easy to replace them? Is there a guide on this forum?

I don't if you have saloon or estate, but here are some pictures from polish forum about fitting sensors on saloon

three screws on the wheel arch, two between tail lights and two clips from the bottom

I'd suggest you to ask for help when removing bumper to avoid scratches ;)
It's easy to replace them, but make sure that holes in bumper what you have now is same size or smaller then diameter of sensors which you want buy, otherwise you'll need to play a bit to fit them ;) just check which way cables are going and do the same, hope it helps. btw. here is whole tread about fitting sensors but you'll have to use google translator :D

Thanks brodziu.

The fact that this isnt working, will it fail the MOT? I mean as soon as you go into reverse gear, you hear the warning sound.
