sat nav disc compatibility

morning all, now that im selling Ken-hom (ex cdti), want to get her right so finally sorting the sat nav out for potential buyer!

have trawled through search button and still non the wiser so excuse me if ive overlooked this one...

i have the inevitable disc read error on my 04 plate gen 7 so couple of things

am i to ***ume that the system is fine and the disc is at fault?

if so if i buy a newer version (currently on 2.03) will it need to be updated somehow, will it read it with no probs or do i need to stick to the 2.03 as a replacement?

there ar a few discs on egay at the mo and would only replace with genuine as i have seen people having problems with copies, but which one is ok? have seen a 2.02 version for a 10ner which is obviously a good buy but will it be compatible? cheers in advance for any help ta al

If I was you I would follow the lense cleaning guide which us here somewhere (think Shabz and Jab did one).

Then if that doesn't fix it buy the cheapest 2.33 (iirc) disc you can fond that isn't scratched.

What state is your disc in?

Oh, BTW, the software automatically upgrades when you insert a newer disc.

To downgrade there is a sequence to follow.

I hav Sat nav problem. My disc is cracked and the screen showing disc error.i have the used my friend disc but it still shows disc error. This is 2004 icdti and i think i need to buy the disc first than look at the satnav problem.where the cheapest place I can buy the disc and what version?

I bought one off eBay for 25 quid it's not original Honda but it works fine I think the seller is called sat nav DVD man or something it's been in almost a year with no issues whatsoever
