Honda accord 2006
Hi knowledgeable Honda people.

before I explain my problem I've searched this forum and the web and cant find the same problem.

I bought an accord last week and it has the inbuilt sat nav.

the sat nav screen flickers its like an old tv that just keeps scrolling, its impossible to the read the screen.

has anyone any ideas what the issue might be? am I looking at a new screen?

thanks in advance.

Hmm, that is an odd one. Not heard of that before. When you say flickering, is it literally flickering on/off or is it rolling as if it's an old fashioned TV not tuned in properly?

its rolling like an old tv not tuned in, and never changes from that

Very strangers indeed Patrick all I can think of its to do with the screen as you say.
Check out all the things said on the forum like make sure its a genuine DVD and clean the lazier lens 1st
This might just be a the cable going to the screen not making properly.

The dvd player is the main driver for this. However you need to make sure that the actual screen is not faulty. Check all connectors at the back of the dvd player.

Interesting. When screens roll like that, it's usually an ****ogue video signal that's out of sync. I wonder if the sync has become disconnected somehow?

thanks everyone.

is it easy to take out the nav to look at the cables behind it?
