Sat nav updates

Are online sat nav updates worth the huge savings on Honda's own expensive updates? Has anyone had experiences of them? They are about £100 cheaper than Honda updates!

Hi Ian,

No direct experience but I'm sure someone will be along soon. All that I have heard is that non genuine CD/DVDs can burn out the laser in the satnav drive. There are stories of people buying these copies off Ebay and then a few months later the laser burns out, new satnav drive, much wallet surgery!! So seems like a false economy. Something to do with the way a computer burns a CD/DVD compared to a commercially produced one.

As rich said Ian but the choise us yours.
Personly I would only use genuin disks on our sat nav
