satelite signal problem

Hi guys and gals
my navigation has been working fine for more than a year since i have owned it but recently sometimes it doesn't pick up signals and keeps saying not on digitised road
has anyone else had this problem before ,and if anyone knows where on the dashboard is the reciever.

Welcome to TA. Although this would point at a satellite connection issue, it could actually be a disc read issue. What year is your car?

2008. I forget. Is that a 7th or 8th gen?

Try going into the hidden menu and run a check on how many sates you are picking up.
I think it is Map + Menu + Cancel simultaneously and hold for 5 or more seconds

If you've had the battery off or installed a map update you might need to clear the cache which is somewhere in the diagnostic screens.
