Hey guys

I have been informed that there are many Accord owners in my neck of the woods (cambridge) and was wondering if any of you had used John Banks for servicing? They quoted me £210 for oil/filter change. Is that about right? Seems steep.

Cheers

for just an oil filter and oil change thats a rip off mate if you were nearer id do it for way less than half that

For that price i would want a full service done a rip off.Why dont you do it yourself and save pounds.

Another thing you can do is buy your own oil from lube tech or opie with our discount and a OEM filter from HH.
Then take it to an independent garage and they should charge £30 tops.

Most stealers in Cambridge are very expensive due to area and lack of completion. I will do it for half that....lol

Were in Cambridge you located.

I was quoted £387 for a 5th year service last year which was effectively an oil change. My advice would be to shop around or what I did was purchase the oil and all genuine parts and had my Honda dealer carry the work so I maintain the Honda stamp in the book for the extended warranties. After 7 year extended warranty on selected parts is up I shall be carrying out the work myself.

Ok that's fairly unanimous lol. Is it best to use genuine filters? I will get the parts and go see my local indie. Thanks for confirming it for me, how do Honda get away with charging these prices?

I would deff use genuin filters or your asking for problems.
Have a search this is covered a million times

Too many fricking cyclists too  Body shops must earn a mint.

Hi, nice to meet other Cambridge owners. I bought my Honda new, with its 3 year guarentee, but also bought a 2 year extension. I don't know if it's a rip off price, but have to say I'm pleased with John Banks Honda in all ways....And about cyclists..Damn them all. No insurance, no nothing and the law is always on their side because they are eco friendly, but if a drunken one lands on your bonnet, it's you who have to pay regardless of...
