DU05 ZKW, can get the welding done but the power steering pump leak is beyond me. Any ideas please? Love my car, even though the tailgate is held up by a broom handle.

CD play doesn't work either. The sat nav is in a world of it's own but I suspect that's more about me knowing the way rather than relying a 20 year old dvd - must have been stella when it was new though. Poor car, only a power steering pump between happy motoring and relegation to an overpriced Fiesta.

Have you checked ebay for second hand ones?

Where about is the leak? If its the pump, seconded on secondhand - Though there are the rare folk who will redo seals on PS pumps. Never encountered one myself though

Thank you so much for your reply. Amazing young mechanic found the leak on the high pressure pipe - he wouldn't give up! So, new pipe orderd, 4hrs welding and it'll be ok.
Only problem now is too many cars as I've bought a Micra as a stop gap!
Silly road coloured Honda with a broom handle for a boot prop, a sat nav from another planet and a dongle phone interface because it won't play my Beatles cds. Love it!
