First off I'd like to say a big thanks to the forum which helped me past this problem!
I was having issues with my 6th gen 1.8 not starting, it would turn over but not catch and it coincided with a period of damp wet weather. All the electrics were checked, cleaned and given a dose of WD-40 but it didn't help. Eventually I swapped over the Bosch Super 4 plugs I'd fitted at the last service for some NGK ones and problem was solved. As a bonus the car is now running smoother as well.
So moral of the story is, firstly, listen to others on here, and secondly don't buy Bosch Super 4 plugs (no matter how cheap they're on offer).
