Hi guys,

Any idea if the Spoon Sports air filter is reusable (washable) like the K&N is ?
http://www.spoonsportseurope.net/index.php/products/accordcl7/intake-and-exhaust-accord-cl7/high-flow-air-mass-filter-cl7.html

I've emailed this guys some time ago but got no answer from them ...

Cheers,

not sure but if they haven't got back to you then that is your answer fella

not sure I've understood this answer ? :)

sorry i read your post wrong i think you need to pester this company to give you a answer.what i ment was if your not getting any response from them its not very professional of them.

if I'm not mistaken , I think is the same company (TDI north, Mugen Europe ...)
but anyway i was hoping someone from here installed a Spoon filter (I believe Dan aka "govtec" installed one) maybe he can help me with the answer on this :)

alright mate

ermmm is the answer i can give you sorry i always thought it was a paper replacement with a high flow capacity and there for a buy one each year for the swap i get them from here

these are much better than some other resellers who are charging almost 100 notes for one

hope this helps

with any luck i will not be needing to replace these soon, as i have something a bit special coming from Japan, though its taking its time

Thanks man. Well if is not reusable than I might try a K&N then :)

What intake are you expaecting from japan ? Gruppe-M ? :)

ouch mama, expensive like the Gruppe-M - why not going for the latest one then ? (it looks to me like being a better design) :)
Also I thought the Comptech Icebox has the same design like Mugen one, but 10x cheaper .

Carbon Fiber for the Gruppe-M, too :) : https://www.gruppem.co.jp/onlinestore_en/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=131

baller! B)

aye lol B) , still its takin its sweet time ordered it 4mths ago <_<

The Gruppe M is sweet lookin installed but having done some readin around the MUGEN box is quieter. As for the Comptech icebox, yep it 10x cheaper but it does'nt say Mugen on it - lol

you have very nice mods on your signature , especially the Tein SS with EDFC!

I see from your signature that you've changed the TB with a 06+ TSX one ? Did this mod worth the money ?
Is the 06+ TSX TB the same like the 06+ Euro CL9 , any idea ?

And about DC headers, did this mod introduce more noise (aka exhaust noise or something like that) compared with stock ?
Do you have test pipe or high flow cat, or oem cat ?

Regarding H&R anti roll bars , how did you set yours ? (mine are on low settings both, front and rear)

alraight bud not to sure on actual gains with the 06+TB and IM as i had no base line dyno for comparison, once installed the engine felt slighty more free reving and it felt a little quicker but were not talking massive gains up to 5 HP at best i would say i got the components imported from the US from these guys (http://oemacuraparts.com) after import tax i ended up paying just under £450

parts
IM - http://oemacuraparts.com/partlocator/index.cfm?action=getJointLocator&siteid=214055&chapter=&sectionids=6,2782&groupid=10024&subgroupid=20086&componentid=60864&make=1&model=TSX&year=2007&catalogid=1&displayCatalogid=0 - $153 (£95.70)

TB - http://oemacuraparts.com/partlocator/index.cfm?action=getJointLocator&siteid=214055&chapter=&sectionids=6,2782&groupid=10024&subgroupid=61875&make=1&model=TSX&year=2007&catalogid=1&displayCatalogid=0 - $474 (£296)

these prices are a bit higher than when i got them.

The 06+ TSX got a whole bunch of subtle revisions including, slightly better flowing intake mani larger bore TB, slightly wider exhaust, better flowing head design and a revised intake cam with slightly higher lift and longer duration all of which pushed it to 200hp vs the pre-facelift 188. unfortunately Honda did not see fit to carry these revisions across to the european and Jap CL9s so engines in 06+ Accords are the same as those in the prefacelift accords and the pre facelift TSX.

The DC sports mani allows abit more of the engine noise to come through vs the stock exhaust mani but its not loud or intrusive, you can hear the engine revving nicely. At the moment i have the oem Cat on though once this intake arrives ill be getting a higher flowing cat installed to keep it legal, ive seen to many road side testers to risk a test pipe on public roads.

Hope this helps inform a descision buddy

Edit: H&Rs are set to softest though i may adjust the rear to the stronger setting soon just to see what the difference is

thanks man !
