Squeaky clutch and clutch fluid type?

Hi

I have a 99 Accord 2.0 and the clutch pedal on the car has become squaky when depressing in recent weeks, notice over the weekend that the clutch fluid looks low. Do you think this could be related? If so is the clutch fluid the same as the brake fluid, ie the dot4 brake fluid?
