Stereo not working

Hi All,

Just joined the Typeaccord forum.
My friend has a V reg accord 1.8Ls... i know its not that spectacular.. He wants to change the stereo in it and has the ISO connector lead. The stereo is getting the 12V feed from the battery but can not find the ignition live 12V. The cigerrette lighter has also stopped working. Does anyone know where the fuse for this is?? Checked the fuse box on the driver side of the dash and the box in the engine compartment. Can not see a fuse for stereo or Cig lighter anywhere.

Ye check fuse box on left hand side of car, the stereo and cig lighter run off the same fuse, i had this problem when my cig lighter was shorting out and kept poppin the fuse so my stereo wouldnt work.
 
didnt know there was another fuse box on the left hand side!!

***uming it was the fuse then?
 
Hey,

My friend tried replacing the fuse but stereo is still not working....... something dodgy going on here i think...

I need to get a volt meter out and check his wiring.... he is mainly useless with cars! :D
