Earlier this year I installed a Pioneer head unit in my 7th gen tourer. To make use of the 'Premium' sound system, I made up some adaptors to feed the amp inputs from the RCA outputs on the headunit. All works well, amp powers up when the headunit is switched on and clear sound is produced by all door speakers, tweeters and the sub.
However, there is a buzz from the front left speaker under specific conditions, If the sidelights or headlights are switched on and the dash lighting is turned down below full.
With the lights off I can turn the dash up and down without issue, and if I leave the dash at full brightness with the lights on the buzz isn't there.
I've tried reterminating all the connections I have made but to no avail. I know speaker buzz is usually a bad earth but I'm at a bit of a loss where to start with this one.
Anyone have any ideas oor had a similar problem?
