Just looking for some thoughts on this.

Is it a PITA to change bushes alone or would it be recommended just to replace complete suspension arms?

I guess that depends on the amount of money you want to spend, and the quality of the parts. I guess that if you use good quality bushes, will be equivalent to buy new complete arms of some not so good make. If you are able to do the job your self, you might get better served for the same amount of money if you replace the bushes...

Meanwhile, you could have some problems finding replacement ball joints for the upper arm, at least if we are talking about a 6th gen...

Replacing the bushes could be a bit annoying if you don't have access to a press, but it's doable, using some large socket wrenches and a big hammer...

I find its normally works out cheaper to buy a complete unit mate. but the time you faff about knocking the bushes and ball joints out ect.

Easier to do the arms as complete unit.. You could damage the new bushes etc trying to get them in.. Will work out the same roughly as buying all bushes and will be easier to replace than just the bushes

Thanks guys. This is what I was expecting.

Will need to get the rear wheels off to check what needs replacing there too. Last MOT advisories were slight play in rear O/S & N/S control arm. Just need to figure out what ones need done as there are a few
