Transmission fluid change - quick question

Hi guys,

Just a quick question...
We're changing the TF on our 7th gen pre-facelift tourer (diesel).
Went to Honda and told the guy what we needed and he gave us 2 litres of MTF-3 and said that will be enough. Didn't think anything of it at the time, have emptied out the old stuff and put the 2 litres in but it's not topped up to the inspection level.
Car is now sitting on the drive and wondering what to do. Will it be ok to just have the 2 litres in until Monday when I can get some more and top-up or will it do damage to run it a bit low?

Can't understand why the guy at Honda only gave us 2 litres when everywhere else is clearly saying it takes 2.2 litres

That happened to me too. To be honest, I just put a bit of the old fluid back in after using 2 bottles of new MTF.

As I'd changed it early, I figured a small percentage of old(er) oil wouldn't make a whole lot of difference. It seemed a better prospect than trailing back to the dealer, and then having an almost full bottle of MTF hanging around the garage.

I would go with what Matt said as you will nether completely empty out all the transmission oil.Unless you use a pump of some kind.

Dealer probably confused with the petrol box which takes 1.9 litres but I always buy 3 bottles because the next time you only need to buy 2
