I'm getting a slightly twitching feeling from the steering wheel of my car. It occurs whether I'm accelerating or at a constant speed. Had in a local tire centre about a week ago who said it just needed balancing, which they did. However, the issue is still there. I've checked tire pressures which are correct. Any ideas what could be causing this? Thanks.

Does it twitch all the time or just when turning. Balancing wheels can be a problem on the Accord, they are quite sensitive.

this could be poor allignment ?

is it like a 'tramlining' feeling or is it a twitch ***ociated with wheel speed?

It definitely happens all the time when turning at slow speeds. Feels like the wheel wants to pull in the opposite direction briefly. It also happens when cruising on motorway. I wouldn't describe it as tram lining though

Does this happen more on uneven road surfaces if so my old car did the same.
Im sure it was normal and you get used to it.On a smooth road the car was fine and no twitch at all.

my diesel used to 'twitch' over uneven surfaces... it would almost feel like an quick pull in one direction or the other.

I found my tracking was a cause.. but thats just my case.

Mine does this at low speeds. Feels more like sqwirming, I always thought it was normal. some sort of self adjusting system maybe??

If it is a torque steer sensation that occurs briefly especially when accelerating at motorway speeds it will be the ball joint on the wishbone. The car will steer toward the problem side.

Have you checked your front anti-roll bar linkages...I suppose they could be worn / need replacing. Just had to replace the two front ones on my tourer as I had a broken one which failed the MOT. All fixed now and car does feel better. I too have had wheel weight issues in the past. My local tyre fitter is really good at getting my tyres well balanced.

i too currently have this issue , pressures normal , suspension all ok , it seems to be an accord issue , just the way they are quite annoying really but ho-hum
