The other day I decided to pump up the tyres to 33psi front and 32 rear (on 17's). This seemed to have a very negative impact on the handling, when going around fast corners I got no feedback from the steering wheel and it just felt like it was going to understeer. A corner that I normally do 45 -50 around I only dareed to do at 40 and that felt like I was pushing it a bit. I have now dropped the fronts down to 31 and it seems better, has anyone else experienced this? Just wondering if anything could be broken on the front end to cause such understeer and as for those who run at 35+ Psi I can only image how bad it must feel.

My experience is almost exactly the opposite, and I run at around 35 - 36 front and rear.

Maybe Chris, it certainly helped body roll.

8th gen 18's I run 38 front and 35 rear

In this current weather i am currently running 37psi front 35psi rear on my 17" penta's

I have a 7th gen Diesel exec and run fronts at 35psi and rear at 33psi on standard 16" tyres. No problem with understeer at all. The make of tyre fitted makes the biggest difference to the grip. Used to have problems with grip in the wet, till I fitted tyres that could cope with this weather. Would not have thought your problem was tyre pressure related.

I wonder if your geometry is a bit out and the higher pressures are altering the contact patch? I have to say I don't find the Accord's steering particularly communicative as it is - it's quick and very precise, but that forceful springiness seems to hide a lot of chat from the tyres.
