Updating GPS -> Tele Atlas

Hi all,

So I have the accord now on the drive!

I've checked the GPS system (or Honda Navigation as it's called) and the disc in the system is by Tele Atlas. It's the 2001 DX maps

I've looked online and in this forum to get updated maps, but there doesn't seem to be anything on it.

Are there other compatible map CD's I can get to update the mapping system? Or am I stuck with 2001 maps?
 
Hi,

You can choose between original and pirate Satnav dvd.
Original cost insane money Or you can download newer version of dvd on internet and burn in to Dual layer DVD.

Ah!! Thank you....

Obviously hypothetical question -> if I were to try and find a pirate version, do I need to get the tele atlas disc for a honda, or do other work in there as well?....obviously hypothitcal as pirate discs are naughty :ph34r:
 
Ok. I have obtained a 2010/2011 UK and ROI disc. It's the newest I could find.

Will burn it to DVD and let you know how it goes.

I have managed to upgrade to UK&ROI 2009 / 2010....I've also got the 2010/2011 maps for Europe. I didn't install as I believe this is less detailed for the UK
 
Same disc as I had so my solution should work.

I'm not sure on forum rules so I'll send you a PM on how to do this.
