Accord 2007 Type-S
Hi guys,

Thought that someone might be able to help me out here... I own an 07 accord Type S (so no Premium Sound System).

Last week, I upgraded all of my speakers, got rear shelf, rear door (which had none), front door and tweets.
I also got separate 4 channel amp to power all those speakers for me and plugged that to the original head unit using a high level input.

So, I have the power wire running from the battery on the passanger side and the RCA + speaker cables running in the middle of the car.

I am getting a noise from all of my tweets when my level on the 1-2 and 3-4 channels are too high. I have set my gain level to around 20% and the noise stopped, whenever I bring up the level up the noise starts again and the higher I go with gain level, the louder the tweets make the noise.

Since I have my RCA's running on the other side than my 12v, I have grounded my high level inputs in the radio, I'm not sure what else might be causing this noise.

Anyone with similar setup who got a solution?

Thanks in advance!

I think I had a similar problem...

the difference In mine was that I am running a separate head unit not the factory unit. I solved my problem by powering the head unit with the same Permanent live & neutral as the amplifier. Basically I was getting an earth/static loop through my amplifier because they weren't sharing the same power feed.

Maybe you could run a live & neutral from your amplifier using some 1.5mm cable, then find the perm live and netural for the factory unit in the loom and connect it that way. Easily found with a multi meter. obviously you will have to leave the ignition live attached so the factory unit comes on when you turn the key.

Good luck!!
