I was just wondering what you guys would think about putting a vent in the side of the bumper to help improve cooling for the intercooler?

I'm sure Honda would have thought of that already.

I don't know where the intercooler is on the CDTI but they don't need cooling, they don't get hot.

The vent is already there and was made that way to avoid damage by road debris.

Just keep it clean.
I've already found a quite bit of a plastic bag in it. And a few days ago, I found a pack of cigarettes in there.

Hi Stephen.

Air inlet is right next to the fog light on the passanger side.
Air outlet is at the front of the passanger side wheel arch (looks like a 'grated' section).

no need to chop up your bumper to allow air flow as it already has a pretty good cooling system.
Also bear in mind that diesle turbos dont get anywhere near as hot as petrol turbo's so the air flowing through the SMIC (side mount intercooler) is alot colder than that of its petrol equivelents ;)
