the VSA and exclamation mark in triangle came appeared yesterday.
brought it to my mechanic and there are zero faults showing. Has anybody
encountered this before.

it appeared 10 seconds after i pulled away after being parked up

it depends what he used to read faults, the ABS/VSA module cannot be read by most readers except Honda HDS

As mentioned.
Only a Special HDS system - Honda diagnostics systems can read the sub systems on our Honda's.
All engine faults are generic but systems like airbag, ABS and VSA - are specialist systems to Honda.

Unfortunately only a Honda dealer or a specialist Honda tuner who has this equipment can read it.
I think a snap on diagnostics system will read the faults - but again the snap on system is very expensive and only specialist garages will have these

Having said that, might be worth checking all the sensor connectors and the main connector to the VSA module.
I had the VSA and exclamation mark illuminate earlier this year - illuminated for a couple days as i was hauling alot of stuff for my brother as he was moving out.
After a couple days it turned off and stayed off ever since. Perhaps it didnt like the heavy load.

Good luck - let us know if you get it read. Hopefully it isnt the 66-1 code - which is the vsa/abs module. Expensive to fix but there are a few known places that can refurb them and many forum users have used them successfully

Have a read of this

Hope it helps

I had this but intermittent the cause was discovered (i think) on the MOT were both front stabiliser tie rods found broken. When replaced the car was a lot different in handling, and the light never showed again, proof that Honda can do the job even when they are not 100%

Have the some problems couple months ago pressure sensor gone in the abs pump have to change pump

great, thanks for the replies all, much appreciated. Ill check the connections as suggested and wait a week or so and go to honda with it. Sounds like it could be a number of things and a wide variety too.

Make sure the rear calipers are not seized or intermittent seizure as that will bring up the vsa

right, the lights are still illuminated and after
some research I did the paper clip trick on the
OBD connector and I got the dreaded 6 long 6short - 66

so i think we can eliminate connections and calipers etc.
i'll be looking for a used unit or a refurb.

thanks for all the comments and help.

I also seem to be getting that DTC B1378 PA31 code flashing
which is an airbag related code.

now the car was in about 4 weeks ago with honda for an airbag
recall and replacement ?

would all this be linked ?

I would take back to honda for recall and while there reset the vsa using neutralization procedure before replacing vsa unit. And if the worst does happen you can get unit repaired by http://www.ecutesting.com/ or buy a secondhand unit. The dealers always seem to replace the vs a module but fail to solve the problems, that code could be stored from before so before parting with £2000.
1 would wash all abs sensors using jet wash with wheels removed.
2 refurb calipers you can buy kits from http://brakeparts.co.uk/ replace all 4.
3 remove and clean brake and clutch pedal switches.

Remeber the vs a module is a bit of nuisance to diagnose as it receives signals from the wheel sensors, so any binding will confuse the unit. If the brake or clutch pedal switches are sending wrong signal that will also confuse vsa so I would start there before purchasing a vsa module unit or getting one repaired.
