I disconnected the coolant pipes from the tb and the breather nearest the intake from the valve cover. Attach the rubber pipe from the rear of the tb to the metal pipe, take the pipe from the front of tb and replace the right angle pipe from the valve cover to metal pipe with it. Now wee bit the right angle tiny pipe. Bypass done, the metal pipe now sits below the intake pipe.
Whilst the bonnet is open, disconnect the positive terminal, turn the ignition key as if starting the engine for 10 seconds. Now reconnect the battery. Next up, with the engine running tighten the throttle cable. Remove any excess slack from it, tighten till the tickover increases then back off a gnats nut so the tickover stays correct. Instant throttle response improvement. All can be done in about 15-20 minutes
