Wheel Alignment

Thank you all for your input! Eric big thanks for your help. I will go on the weekend and try and get everything sorted! Going to rotate the wheels, re balance and 4 wheel align! Will report back :) thanks all, the best forum I have ever been on.

first thing you should do is what i said

forget alignment as i dont think its the problem, get the wheels spun on a hoist in a garage at 60mph, if the steering wheel vibrates its you inner boot joint most likely. , you should also get feel on the cv joints if there is play in them its not good.

but get that done first and get back to us., btw them boot joints are not cheap..!

"So now I have vibration over 60 ish"

these are typical symptoms of bust cv joints..!

when you think about it what the fek has alignment to do with this , it is nothing else.

its not warped discs as it would be evident on breaking at any speed, its not the tyres , he has had alignment done, the gear box is linked to the drive shaft but that's not the reason.

vibrating steering wheel is a give away as its a direct link to the front drive shaft(s) so it all adds up.

misaligned car would behave erratic but not this vibrating.

god, sound like a porno now...

Eric you know as much about cars as I know about moon exploration.
It can also be related purely to wheels Eric, it really really really really really really really really really really really really can.

thats the same 9800m sli i put into my m1730. as per spammed pics from before.

amazing....!

Hello there:))
I have the same problem
vibrating to stering wheel, and pulling me to left
I change brake disc, 2x wheel alligment(geometry), new shocks and springs, new tyres, but pulling to left and vibrating are still there :-((((
Can i buy inner joint separately, or i need buy full driveshaft?????
Whitch driveshaft?? left side,or driver side???
Please, help me:))))

Sure it's not wheel balance or a tyre issue... maybe swap front and back wheels and see if problem changes?

Welcome to the club, btw!

I did it:))) no change,it is not problem with wheels, i try other 4 wheels for my friend car, still the same :-(((((

you need 4 wheel alignment

get PROPER hunter alignment and see how that goes,

check all the tyres for bulges etc as pointed out above.

could be shafts but lets rule out all the other possibilities first as shafts are expensive fekers.

get 4 wheel alignment done and see how that goes.

if its still vibrating put the car on a hoist and get it up to 40-60mph on a ramp and see if it vibrates.

if it does is most likely a drive shaft issue.

i did 4 wheel alignment 2times in 2 different garages, i have brad new tyres, vibrations are still there:-((( it is time for change driveshaft:-((((

Where abouts did you get the alognment done, and I've only read that it's the diesels that can suffer with the driveshaft issue, not saying it can't happen to petrol models too

^ no it can happen on petrol or diesel, doesn't seem to be specially dependent on engine torque because gearbox on the diesel reduces the engine torque to get the stride in the gears.
But yeah, it does depend on where you get the alignment done, Hunter alignment seems to be the only one that works on these cars

can happen to petrols god damnit.

if you are sure you had hunter alignment then its a drive shaft

stick it up on a hoist and look for play in the drive shafts, any decent mechanic would be able to diagnose a bad one

you should bear in mind these are expensive parts and you can get them from heel toe in California cheaper/

if you are sure its a drive shaft get back here and let us know.
