I wasn't going to ask Honda but I thought nothing ventured nothing gained so I emailed them and I received a very welcome reply! So give them an email!
Good work chas, that is a result ! May personally look at travelling a bit further if possible to another dealer who has a bit more experience of doing the work. (Engine out is excessive and means disturbing a lot of stuff that doesn't need it.
Well done though ( I'm a little jealous lol )
Cheers Ian, I am worried about the engine coming out but they are a great Honda dealership and I would of thought Honda would have standard procedures for all major work!?
Manifold job done today and what a difference it's made! I was a bit cheeky when I went to check on the progress the engineer had dropped the rear engine subframe which made the front ARB bushes easy to get at so I had them replace both the front and rear ARB bushes. With the labour I agreed to pay over Honda uk's allowance for the job and the ARB bushes my total bill was £132. I feel well lucky ye-ha!
