So I am replacing the rear discs and pads on the 4 door, so the piston needs to be wound back. Reading in the DIY section, Alnug shows a picture of the piston with the grooves horizontal to the caliper. If the piston is wound back, surely it cant spin when pushing the pads out as the grooves would also spin, unseating the pads that I presume have notches that fit the said grooves.
Also, do I need 2 wind back tools, one for each side of the car? Do they wind different ways?
I will order tonight Ultimax pads and d1400 discs from Camskill for a combined delivered price of £51.90. I thought this was very good. If I can get a deal on a battery I will be happy!
