Hi all.
I am trying (in vain) to get hold off the wiring diagrams for a 2004 CDTi Tourer so I can fit towing electrics (twin plugs or 13pin) to my car. Towbar looks simple enough but the electrics.... Also, is there an actual workshop manual/CD/download available for this model. The only ones I can find are USA ones and they only cover petrol saloons. Thanks for any help/advise

Someone may have the info you need with regard to towbar electrics if you wait around a while.

Failing that you may find what you need HERE Registration is a bit fiddly, but the system does work (eventually). You have to pay for access, but you can find out quite a bit in an hour. It appears only to like Windows running Internet Explorer (I'm a Mac man and had some difficulty).

There is no pukka workshop manual available for models this 'new'. Older generations are available on line. I have the 7th Gen US one too -not a lot of use really.

I'm maybe a bit rusty on the towbar fitting side of things these days but I'll be more than happy to try and do a wiring diagram for you . From what I can remember most jap cars have almost identical wiring codes. If you have no joy at finding a diagram let me know and I sort one out for your tomorrow.

Thanks for the info guys. Steve, if you are able to provide any info to help me it would be appreciated, but only if it doesnt take up to much of your time. i'm looking for the location of the nec. wires and colours. Also if there is a direct course to provide a permanent power supply for the caravan plug (12s).

Honda accord type s 2005

My car is a saloon but the wiring codes should be the same .

As far as picking up a 12v feed goes I'm not sure if the tourer has a dedicated live already in the loom or not ( couldn't find one in my saloon ) but I've always found it best to run a separate supply straight from the battery via a fuse and a charging relay.

Black  =  Earth
Red/black strip = tail light
White / black strip = brake light
Red/blue strip = left hand indicator
Brown = right hand indicator
Green/one silver band = reverse
Red/white strip = fog

I hope this helps

thanks steve, will let everyone know after the easter hols when i fit how I got on for future reference

Yep the feed needs to be taken from the battery.
I have 2 feeds from the battery 1 for each plug outlet and was wired by a towbar company.
