Im on the hunt for a workshop manual that covers the accord diesel engine, 2003-2008. Does anyone know where I can download one? I cant seem to see them on ebay either.

Thanks

Is there any specific information you are after? I have access to the Honda shop manual but there is no way I'm downloading and printing everything as it would take ages and kill a forest! But if you need something specific I may be able to help

Thanks for the reply Paul. Sometimes the manuals have a troubleshooting guide. I was wanting to see if theres anything about trouble shooting the clutch/flywheel on a 2.2 cdti. From memory its almost like a flowchart that i've seen in other honda manuals. If I can diagnose the problem as the flywheel or clutch then i'd also need the clutch removal/installation and how to inspect the flywheel etc.

Its making a chattering/rattling noise on idle which dissapears when I put the car in gear and drive. The clutch doesnt slip or anything but it definitely feels transmission related. It did this on a 30mile drive the other day. I took it for a drive yesterday and the noise has vanished somewhat but not entirely. Its definitely not a chuffing noise ***ociated with a timing chain or leaky injector.

Prior to this I did get the clicking clutch pedal and I have now put grease in the piston/rod thingy as mentioned in a how to guide by fahad. Im yet to test drive it to see if theres any improvement. My girlfriend is due to give birth in just over a week to our first child so I am reluctant to use this car as a means of getting to the hospital until I get to the bottom of this problem.

My solution at the moment was going to be bleed the clutch then take it for a few hard drives to see if I can get the noise to reappear. I was also intending to look at the cruise control switch and check its adjusted correctly.

From what you describe it more than likely is the dual mass flywheel at fault. We had an frv in with noise from gearbox area and it would come and go. Removed the gearbox and it was the flywheel at fault.

but you may as well drive it till it dies or gets really bad. Bleed the slave cylinder, 2 man way in the meantime. No point worrying over dmf, if it is that which is likely then just keep driving it. But don't pull it apart for it to be a release bearing.

if it's really bugging you take it to a gearbox specialist for their opinion.

Thankyou for the replies Salim and Wookie. I did bleed the clutch with the help from a friend. The noise went away when driving around today but im still getting a vibration through the pedal now and then especially in 1st and 2nd in traffic type conditions.

I put cruise control on and disengaged it with the clutch so I think that tells me it isnt my cruise control switch on and dragging the clutch all the time. It doesnt feel like there is enough free play in the clutch pedal. Would adjusting the pedal up about 5-10mm make any difference to the problem?

Out of interest what happens when it dies? Would I be stranded or can I limp home or to a garage?

Thanks very much VamPo. Thats a big file there, do I burn the image to a CD, like an ISO?
You can mount it with daemon tools lite(it's free) for example , or you can burn it on DVD. Open html file with internet explorer only.

Or you could just unpack it anywhere, place a shortcut to desktop and run like any other program.
