Hi, I have just installed an xcarlink in my Accord 2006 exec hft and the nav dispaly just displays the word 'EXTENSION', doesn't show any playlist folders like the instructions or you tube show me. The ipod plays and sound comes through the sound system but its annoying that all the nav screen dispalys is 'EXTENSION'. Can anyone shed any light on it please????

Hi Gaz, thanks for the reply, the you tube I've looked at shows it showing playlist folders in the sat nav screen, and that's what the instructions also say, how come it only shows it in the info bar? Ian

Try that . Ian

It won't let me paste the link into here, you got email I can send it, I've just watched it

If you search for

honda accord 2006 xcarlink

It should be the first one that comes up by Darren Fernandez

That video doesn't show any more than what I'd expect... You don't get any additional folder list or anything like that on the screen. All it will display is CDC as Gaz has said already.

On the sat nav screen on the video theres cd folders which represent the playlists, on my nav screen all i get is big cappital letters saying 'EXTENSION'

I have it fitted in mine, the Nav screen will basically show you the last audio selected before you changed it to CDC. i.e. if you were listening to radio before you switched to CDC it would show the radio screen, if you were listening to a CD it would show the CD's as you see in the video.
In both instances the screen bears no representation of the input through xcarlink (and the screen shuts off after a few seconds anyway)

Ahh, well mine operates slightly different to yours for some reason, when i switch to CDC the nav screen switches straight to the extension mode . The right ups i've read say that the playlists show up as cd folders on the screen or have i misunderstood it?

Mine is same as video clip, the CD files track etc shown on the display has nothing to do with the xcarlink.

All that you can tell its on xcarlink is the CDC in display.

I've noticed yours is a 2006 (mines 2003) so has later sat nav but as far as I'm aware they are all same when comes to info on screen. Hope that's helped Ian
