I am looking to buy a 7th (or maybe 8th) generation Accord in the UK to take to my home in France, so I can retire my mega-mile Prelude vti. This will be the latest of a long series of Accords and other Hondas I have owned in the past 44 years. Thing is, all the ones I have looked at have xenon headlights and I need to know whether Honda xenons have a switch behind them to alter the dip beam pattern from left to right (and vice versa) as I know some *** headlights do.
I am asking this because I am very aware of the procedure for importing a UK car to France - I've done it four times already - and I want to know whether the necessary dip beam pattern changeover will be simple or whether I will have to pay an arm and a leg to Honda for complete replacement headlights. If I have to do that I will, but if I can avoid paying out many hundreds of euros then so much the better.
I have already asked this question on another website and received what I consider to be an offensive answer that was also partly inaccurate. So before I go any further, can I make clear that I have personal reasons to want to buy a RHD car in the UK and bring it over here, I am very aware of the regulations regarding the French CT (MOT equivalent) test and I have no wish to buy a *** car just because it has switchable headlights.
Please feel free to advise if you are able to help.

I'm sure this was asked a week or two back...
Basically only way to do it is to buy either US lights or lights for the accord from another country.
No cheap option unfortunately :(

As above. You'll need to get a LHD pattern ones.

As a suggestion (***uming you speak French)!you could get theses from Switzerland breakers? Accords were popular there and HIDS were common.

Thanks for the replies and advice. It might have been my question a couple of weeks ago - I don't handle this forums thing very well, I'm afraid.
The Switzerland idea is good. If I have to cough up, well so be it. It will be worth it to get back in a really nice Accord again.
