ebay boot spoiler arrived today but its too long......

i ordered a boot lip spoiler from Taiwan painted to match my car as im sure a few of us on here have. it arrived today and is about 40mm/1.5 inch ish too long.......

did any one else get this problem with theirs at all?

the paint is a perfect match but it just overhangs the boot onto the rear quarter :(
 
Post a link of where you purchased yours from.

I had an issue with mine and contacted them by e-mail. They instructed me to give them the correct size. E-mailed them back and they re-sent a new spoiler to the size I e-mailed for free.

Like i said post a link and i can confirm whether it was the same place i ordered mine from.

I don't want to state the obvious but have you bent it to the shape of the boot.??

They make them about 40mm to long to follow the shape of the boot as it is curved.
 
hi guys. yes i have bent it to the shape of the boot and its still over hanging.

i have emailed them so ill await my response.

i could fit it with a slight overhang but it wouldnt look as good and will probably get caught and eventually start to peel off in time
 
Matthew, my order was placed with a different supplier on ebay.

When my spoiler arrived i took it to my friend who is a mechanic to have it fitted and it was too long as after you bend it into shape in overhung (same as yours).

i e-mailed them and to be fair they asked me to e-mail some images of the spoiler over hanging and they were happy to send a replacement free of charge. All they asked for was the correct length in mm which i sent them. they confirmed with me that this was the size and they sent the replacement which was then fitted by my mate.

To be fair they were very helpful and approachable all be it by e-mail.

ok thanks for the responses guys. i guess ill have to wait and see what their response is. lets hope it can be resolved.

i was really excited when i got home from work as well :lol:
 
If you buy the original part you will never have issues like this. I love this from one of the ebayers: "the length standard error between 0.5-1 cm is acceptable". For the seller maybe... sheez.
 
ive had a new spoiler sent out FOC and its a perfect fit so all is well in the end :)

can any one post a close up pic of theirs actually on the car so i know how far back to stick it please?
