Hi All,

Its been a long time since i've posted here so be gentle!

I have a 2003 2.4 CL7 which has been looked after since i bought it, oil service every 4K miles, all original Honda Parts, etc. i have recently noticed that its really sluggish and when the AC is on, its even worse, it feels like i have lost 100BHP!

So as per usual, i have given her an oil service, cleaned the butterfly and intake manifold, changed the fuel filter for with a Honda one..

What else would you recommend i do or check?

its had new sparks a month ago and new coil packs since Feb this year. are there any other valves that would need cleaning?

Some things:

1. Alternator - is its output ok?
2. Fuel pump - all ok?
3. MAP/IAT sensors - are they in spec?
4. DBW? All ok?
5. Air filter ok?

Does it idle rough? Or only during drive?

Now you mention that when the A/C kicks in, the engine really struggles. The A/C puts extra load on the engine, so it's normal that the engine will need to adjust but it by no means struggles.

Have you investigated a possible blocked cat? the K series don't normally develop faulty sensors, but if it's had cheap fuel in or just doing a lot of local miles, you could have developed a cat problem.

What is the mileage on the car?

Fahad - Cat has been checked and is fine, has also had a treatment of Cataclean and have never had cheap fuel in the car, always Shell and i normally do 60 is motorway miles daily...

Jayok - I will check those and post results back...

Have also noticed that the car feels like the brakes have been applied everytime i take my foot off the acc pedal, i have check all four brakes and that doesnt see to be causing the car to slow down....

That was my next thing, check for binding brakes..

Try cleaning your MAF sensor but only use the correct spray like in the link.
