Hi all. Am wondering if anyone has had this problem before. Right I replaced the left rear abs sensor due to it being faulty. Hoped that would have got rid of the lights on the dash but no, the diagnostic machine is telling me I have an open or short circuit which would sugest a broken wire.

Am getting 11.56 volts at the plug the sensor plugs into. On doing a continuity test only one of the wires is making a circuit with the body of the car which am ***uming is the neutral which would make sense yes or no??

Looking for some advice before I start ripping the interior apart..
Thanks.

Its either a broken wire or more likely a bad sensor. Was it a second hand sensor?

I had an abs sensor pack in on an old 4th gen accord, the way I tested the sensor was to put a multimeter across both wires and measure the resistance on all of my wheels sensors and one of them had a different resistance,I got a second hand one and checked the resistance was the same as the 3 good ones on my car, changed it and everything was fine.i hope this helps.

Fahad yes it is second hand sensor. Thats why I want to get the wiring plug of the abs pump so I can link the two wires going to the left rear and test them before I go ahead and get another sensor. I've got the bumper and head light of the car to make it easier to access but cant seem to pull the wiring plug of the pump just need to find out how it pulls out without damaging it.

Neil I've checked resistance on both rear sensors and both are about the same. Can I ask did you spin the wheels while testing the resistance?

Thanks for the replies guy's!

No mate I didn't spin the wheel but I can imagine it varying depending on wether it was near one of the teeth or not, have u checked your front sensors?
