Just looking through the paperwork I got with the car and there doesn't appear to be a radio code. If I change the battery or it goes flat is there a code that is needed?

Funny you should ask this Nick, as we were discussing this with the Holdcroft boys yesterday. They seemed to be under the impression that there is a code.. but a few of us (me included) had our batteries replaced and all that happened was we lost our radio settings, but no security code.

Good to meet you too yesterday, especially as you had quite literally just picked up the car!

It was nice to meet you aswell, although I was introduced to everyone there is no way I can remember everyone. Obviously I remember Dan as he had his little 'incident'!

I got my car yesterday as you say and it's so stinking inside it's untrue, the previous owner didn't even hoover it out, there are stains on the seats, headlining and dirt on most of the plastics. It's booked in for a full valet on Tuesday so hopefully it will look as it was intended to. Had a good blast in it yesterday going to Stoke and back (80 miles) and got to know it a bit, handles better than I thought it would, the iVtec engine is ok as long as you hit the right revs and it's a comfy place to be so looks like a keeper!

No code on the satnav version. I`ve had my battery disconnected a few times without any problems. You just have to retune it.

Nice to meet you Nick. Glad you are liking your new car.

Ditto on the code thing, had my battery changed and only lost my stored radio channels.

Little incident has not been noticed even though she went round the car after I asked her is she "noticed the difference". So I am set for the "what happened" gambit some time next week ;).

Gutted about your motor Dan, Wasn't as bad as I thought though

I was getting the bonnet, wings and A pillars re-done and protected anyway, so those two (three actually) scratches will probably only add £50 or so to the bill.

Still it was phecking embarrassing in front of everyone; but hey, what can you do? It was an easy mistake, and I put it down to the excitement of having the suspension work done. Even the confirmation of a cracked manifold couldn't dampen that ;)

Does she drive it? If so you could ask her what she has done to your car next time she comes back!

That is the plan in a very small nutshell my friend. It has worked nicely more than once over the years B) As the old adage goes: "work smarter not harder" any married man should know this well by know ;).
