Brown oil

Hi guys, 2.2 I-ctdi accord on 197k with egr delete, I noticed the oil looked dark brown, so changed oil and filter. New has gone the same colour, should I be worried? Car seems to run ok, puff of smoke on start up, but nothing else, no overheating etc. thanks again guys

It’s normal for fresh engine oil to quickly change colour on a diesel.

I don't like brown oil, it's crystal clear golden brown going in fresh, then goes black normally after a few thousand miles.

That means it's doing it's job and black is GOOD !
