Wel lads! my cd player just stopped working, radio is fine, but the built in 6 disc changer in the dvd touch screen unit has stopped working, it wont play cd's or wont eject them???? and it is just diplaying cd error? any ideas or fixes for it?

This one sounds as though it could be expensive......as in very! My accord (Type S) was fitted with the 6 disc single unit that was fitted lower down in the central console (not the type you may have). Any how it stopped playing cd's and then boy did I have trouble removing the cd's!!!!! Anyhow when the the local car audio shop who removed the unit and had it inspected....turned out that the laser reading bit / thingy was knackered. Lucky for me I was able to get a new unit at a fraction of the HONDA RRP. How old is yr car and do you have any warranty left? I guess some of the other bright sparks might have some other ideas...
the cars december 2005 and its just reading err, according to the manual means mechnical error "go to the dealership" which would probly cost a bomb, and mine the the touch screen sat nav built in to the dash which is probly more trouble into the mix...seems the cds are jammed and there is 6 cds in it..full rack, it was working fine until it stopped all of a sudden and that was it hasnt worked since, any help would be great if anyone has experianced this? and i take in cleaning cds and take of the player etc..im not happy......thanks for the input??? any other ideas?? anyone?

I've also had this problem. I just recently bought an accord second hand and the cd changer is faulty. Having browsed the net on how to remove it and bought some panel poppers I managed to extract the head unit and dismantled the cd player. This yielded 5 cds from the previous owner, as well as about 2.5 Euros which their kids must have stuffed in there. Unfortunately this has not fixed the problem, so I'll be making enquiries with a company called Maple Audio in Bath who may be able to fix it. I'll let you know how I get on. If you've managed to have yours fixed since your post I wouldn't mind knowing how you got on.
