Just wondering if anyone has had any experience with DIY products ? Seem to be a lot of these products appearing on the market claiming to be better than traditional products. Cheaper ones any good ? Best ways to apply and any recommendations etc etc

@ Fahad - I know I almost keeled over ! Also, as mentioned above make sure they adjust the clutch pedal for the CC switch :ph34r: athough tbf this is reasonably easy to do yourself :)

I had this done recently. It is a fairly big job. I supplied an OEM clutch kit + MTF and was quoted 550 for fitment initially by one independent and then found another for 240, so its well worth shopping around as huge differences in prices !

Although my pre facelift manual 2.4 type s does not have the actual dipstick it does have a dipstick hole which is blanked off with a removable rubber cap which is easily removed. Ray, do you mean you filled via the 17mm inspection hole slightly above the drain plug ?

Have you considered a refurb of you OEM starter ? Probably cost you a great deal less ;)
